“Where I’m From” Remoscope

My approach to this task was simple. To capture elements that I live in, and what they offer to the person I am today. With inspiration from George Ella Lyon’s poem, “Where I’m From”, I began to restructure each stanza in a way that represents me, both literally and figuratively.  The idea of nature and the universe being so profound and open to interpretation influenced me to capture the beauty of creation, and the different representations it may have on others. The shots of my parents and my dog represent the literal theory of where I am from. I also wanted to portray that within the universe, life comes full circle, with the beginning and ending of the perpetual sunset.
